I’ll admit I originally liked the video more than the song. When I first saw it my jaw dropped off from it’s awesomeness and I wanted to do this remix to be able to use the visuals to my benefit.

When I sat down to produce this song – I started off thinking I would make a blip techno remix (like some of the sounds the song already has) but then I saw the live at Jimmy Fallon and I found it to be quite aggressive as a performance – the lyrics overall were provocative and the rhythm was a few notches above easy listening.

I also wanted to use as much of the original samples I could – liked the beat work on the original, especially the breakdown with the synth, and tried to keep that energy intact.

So it became this: nasty beats, seductive bass and impressionable vocals – hope you like it
